1. Who We Are

Infinite Creation is a media education brand providing tutorials, tools, and resources for podcast producers, video creators, and audio engineers. We operate at infinitecreation.io. For any privacy-related enquiries, contact us at hello@infinitecreation.io.

2. Data We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to operate this site:

• Newsletter subscriptions: If you sign up for our newsletter, we collect your email address and the date of signup. This is stored securely on Cloudflare (D1 database), our infrastructure provider. You provide this voluntarily and must give explicit consent at the point of submission.
• Fonts: The typefaces this site uses are served from our own servers. Loading a page makes no request to Google Fonts and sends your IP address to no one for this purpose. This changed on 8 September 2026. Before that date, fonts were fetched from Google and your IP address reached Google's servers when a page loaded.
• Analytics (Google Analytics 4): We use Google Analytics to see, in aggregate, which pages and tools are visited and how they're used, for example, standard pageviews, and on our interactive apps, whether a tool was used, whether a file was uploaded (by type only, e.g. "image" or "audio": never the filename or its contents), and which button or action was used (e.g. "download" "copy embed code"). This data is tied to a browser-generated analytics identifier, not to your name or email. We do not use our analytics data to target advertising, do not sell it, and do not combine it with your newsletter subscription. Advertising on the site is handled separately by Google AdSense, described below. See Cookies below for what Google Analytics sets in your browser, and how to opt out.
• Advertising (Google AdSense): Tutorials, blog posts, and the standalone comparison articles carry a single Google AdSense unit each, and nothing is requested from Google unless you have allowed advertising. The interactive tools, course modules, kits, and the rest of the site carry no ads. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure those ads, and may use them to personalise what you see based on your visits to this and other sites. We do not receive, store, or sell any of that data, and we never pass your email address or newsletter subscription to Google. You can turn off personalised advertising at Google My Ad Center, and review how Google uses data from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
• No behavioural profiling by us: We do not build behavioural profiles, and we do not combine advertising data with anything you give us directly.
• Translation (Google Translate): The footer of every page offers machine translation into a number of languages. These are links to Google’s translate.goog service, no translated page is served from this site. If you follow one, the address of the page you are reading is sent to Google and the translated page is rendered by them under their own terms and privacy policy, not ours. We receive nothing from this and are not told that you used it. Nothing is sent to Google unless you choose a language. Your browser may also offer to translate the page itself, which happens on your device and involves no third party at all.

3. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

We process your personal data under the following legal bases:

• Consent (Article 6(1)(a)): Newsletter subscriptions require explicit opt-in consent via a checkbox. You may withdraw this consent at any time.
• Consent (Article 6(1)(a)), if you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland: Analytics, advertising and the embedded video player all run on your consent and on nothing else. Nothing is stored or sent until you agree, and the measurement code is not even loaded. You can change or withdraw any of it from Your choices below.
• Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)), everywhere else: Using Google Analytics in aggregate to understand which pages and tools are useful so we can improve and prioritize them. No consent banner applies outside those territories, so this is the basis there. You can still switch measurement off from Your choices, and you may object at any time.
• Advertising: Google AdSense serves ads on tutorials, blog posts, and comparison articles. Where personalised advertising requires your consent under the ePrivacy Directive and the GDPR, Google applies its own EU user consent flow. You can additionally withdraw personalisation at Google My Ad Center at any time.

4. How We Use Your Data

• Your email address is used solely to send you Infinite Creation newsletters: new tutorials, tool updates, and educational content.
• We will never sell, rent, or share your email address with third parties for marketing purposes.
• We will not use your email for purposes other than those you consented to at signup.

5. Third-Party Services

• Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc.): Hosts this website and stores newsletter subscriptions (D1 database). Cloudflare is compliant with applicable data protection laws. Cloudflare Privacy Policy →
• Resend (Resend, Inc.): Sends us a notification email when someone subscribes to the newsletter. Does not store subscriber data long-term. Resend Privacy Policy →
• YouTube (Google LLC): Serves the embedded video player on the 48 guides that have one, via youtube-nocookie.com. Your IP address reaches Google when the player loads. Google Privacy Policy →
• Google Analytics (Google LLC): Measures aggregate pageviews and, on our interactive apps, tool-usage events (see Section 2). Google Privacy Policy →

6. Data Retention

Newsletter subscriber data is retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion. You can request deletion at any time by emailing hello@infinitecreation.io.

7. Your Rights Under GDPR

If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Rectify inaccurate data
• Erase your data ("right to be forgotten")
• Restrict or object to processing
• Data portability, receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
• Withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing, from Your choices below or the "Privacy choices" link in the footer of every page

8. Unsubscribing

Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. You can also email hello@infinitecreation.io to be removed from our list immediately.

9. Cookies

We use local browser storage for optional site preferences and learning progress:

• ic_lang_offer_v1 (localStorage): Records that you dismissed the offer of a translation so it is not shown again. It is not used for tracking.
• ic-course-progress:<course-id> (localStorage): Stores checked lesson or module identifiers for optional college or high-school course progress. The data remains in your browser, is not transmitted to Infinite Creation, and can be reset from the course page or removed by clearing browser storage.

ic_consent (cookie): The record of the choice you made about the three categories above, plus the date you made it and which version of this policy it was made against. It is set by this site, is not sent anywhere, and identifies nothing about you. It lasts about a year, except in Safari, which limits cookies written this way to roughly a week, so Safari readers are asked again more often. Deleting it simply means being asked again.

How we work out whether to ask you: When a page is served, Cloudflare tells our own code which country the connection appears to come from. We use it to decide one thing, whether to offer you the choice, and then discard it. It is not stored, not written to any cookie, and not sent to anyone. If we cannot tell, we show the banner anyway.

Google Analytics cookies: Google Analytics sets cookies (typically named _ga and _ga_<container-id>) to distinguish browsers for aggregate reporting, for example, so a single visit isn't double-counted across pages. These are not used for advertising, are not sold, and are not linked to your name or email address.

Advertising cookies: None unless you allow advertising. With that switch off, no page requests anything from Google's advertising servers, so no advertising cookie is set and no device identifier is read. With it on, Google and its partners may set cookies to serve, cap and measure adverts. We set none of these ourselves and receive none of the data. To block advertising at the browser level, any standard content blocker will stop requests to pagead2.googlesyndication.com. The interactive tools carry no adverts.

Embedded video: Forty-eight guides carry a companion video. The player is loaded from youtube-nocookie.com, Google's privacy-enhanced mode, which sets no persistent cookie unless you actually start watching. Loading the player does tell Google that you are on the page, because your browser has to ask Google for it. The player is only fetched when it scrolls into view, so on a page you never scroll to the end of, it is never requested at all.

Opting out of analytics: The simplest way is Your choices below, or the "Privacy choices" link in the footer of any page. Turning measurement off there stops it and deletes the analytics cookies already in your browser. Beyond that, you can also block Google Analytics in your browser using a browser extension such as the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or by using your browser's tracking-protection, ad-blocking, or "Do Not Track" settings, most of which block googletagmanager.com/google-analytics.com requests outright. If you are in the EEA or UK, you can also exercise your right to object under Section 7 by emailing us.

10. Your Choices

Every page carries a Privacy choices link in the footer. It opens a panel with three switches:

• Measurement. Counts which pages and tools get used, in aggregate. Off means the Google Analytics code is never loaded at all, so nothing is stored and nothing is sent.
• Advertising. Off means nothing is requested from Google's advertising servers at all.
• Embedded video. Off means the YouTube player is not loaded on the guides that have one, and you are offered a link to watch on YouTube instead.

If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, all three start switched off and you are asked before anything runs. Elsewhere no consent banner applies and they start switched on, which is why this link exists everywhere rather than only in Europe.

If the panel does not open, JavaScript is unavailable or has been blocked. In that case nothing on this page is measuring you either, because the measurement code is JavaScript too. You can also clear the ic_consent cookie to be asked again.

11. Children's Privacy

This site is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has submitted data to us, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes. We will not retroactively reduce your rights under this policy without explicit notice.
